Bio

Photographer Grant Mishoe was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. He followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and spent his adult life as a career Firefighter, retiring in 2010. Grant is ravenous student of The American Revolution and when he is not chin deep in history books he is digging somewhere or restoring a graveyard or cemetery. South Carolina is his home and the South is his neighborhood. His family is deeply woven in the historical fabric of the Palmetto State from the 1600’s to present day. His family, originally spelled Michaud, were French Huguenots that fled their homeland to find a safe haven to worship. Landing in the South Santee Region in the 1690's helped create Historical Old Jamestown. Sadly all signs of the town have vanished, now being marked only by a solemn stone cross erected by the Huguenot Society in the early 1900's. He has been married to his beautiful wife Stephanie, of Huntsville, Alabama, since 2000, they have two wonderful sons, Tristan and Logan.
